April Book Discussion - Better Than I know Myself
1. Which character do you believe grows and changes the most through the course of the novel? Which character has it the “easiest?” The hardest?
2. Carmen, Jewell, and Regina come from such different backgrounds and have markedly different personalities. In real life, do you find this enhances friendships or makes them harder? Why or why not?

IWO has a new LOOK!
As Springitme respresents newness, change, and a fresh approach, we wanted to give our book club a jolt by amping up the excitement!
Although the weather hasn't quite warmed up, Spring has officially sprung and we've added some new fresh ideas to the IWO book club. Beginning in May, we'll be hosting quarterly "theme" inspired book discussions that will definitely BRING - THE - HEAT. With topics including high fashion and beauty, street guys, and the chics who love them, and even home decorating and lifestyles... of course, the books accompanying these meetings will be as equally fierce, oozing with electrifying intensity you wouldn't want to miss!!! Stay tuned for upcoming featured selections, and as always we look forward to hearing from you. Your thoughts, suggestions, and recommendations are welcomed.
For inquiries regarding membership, event dates, bookings, and meeting locations, please contact IWO's Communications Director via email. LaKishaforiwo@gmail.com

White Lines is White Hot!
Hey Ladies,
The new featured book of the month is White Lines by Tracy Brown, an urban epic novel based on the hard knock life of hustling and trying to survive the concrete jungle. From what I hear it makes Coldest Winter Ever by Sistah Soulja seem like a fairytale book. I'm just saying...
However, if you're interested in finding out for yourself, pick up a copy and meet us for another book club discussion October 23rd, at 3:00pm. The lovely Tatiana will be hosting... Details for RSVP will be posted when available.
Happy reading!!!

Meeting of the minds...
In our last book club meeting we discussed the book Sleeping with Strangers by Eric Jerome Dickey. To say the least, the book was a definite page turner. The plot, the story line, the SEX! Those scenes were hot enough to make Zane find a new profession!!! Gideon, the leading character is also the overall favorite amongst the ladies who attended the meeting. The ambiguity of the characters nationalities keeps the book interesting, never predictable, and leaves a trace of mystery about their origins. We had a wonderful discussion about the book, as well as other books in the series. I'm dying to read them all, and I have already started Waking with Enemies, the sequel to SWS. I also wanted to mention that the Twins did a fabulous job hosting as always. The lay out was exquisite, delicious. Thanks ladies for the warm hospitality... Please join the discussion, we'd love to hear your thoughts about the book, or other great books you have read, or are reading. Until next time...
